# Sunbird ED 9.0 - SPARK

Sunbird Spark is open source, configurable, free-to-use, sovereign and easy-to-deploy solution infrastructure that can be used for learning, education and skilling use cases — a Digital Public Good (DPG) that any organisation can adopt, configure, and deploy to run learning, skilling and capacity building programmes at scale.

Spark is a new and refreshed version of Sunbird ED — without compromising on its ability to scale when needed. Being part of the Sunbird suite of DPGs, Spark is an optimised, scale-tested and reliable offering for countries and organisations looking to evolve a sovereign, stable platform for training and skilling.
